Daxon has always loved the game of hockey and was always bugging his parents and sister to play hockey with him any chance he had. He is a two-way defenseman that sees the ice well.
“My first NHL game ever was in Edmonton and also happened to be Ryan Smyth’s final game in the NHL,” said Daxon. “It was such a cool experience to be at that game. Then Ryan became my spring hockey coach the next year so I was super excited”
Smyth taught Daxon and his teammates to always work hard on and off the ice, have fun and be a good teammate. Daxon has had the opportunity to be coached by some great coaches who have developed his skills and influenced his game.
“I get to compete with and against great players my age and meet new people,” he said.
